The company is devoted to a semi-improvisational, semi-scripted method of adapting classic plays with modern dialogue.

The rehearsal process is tiered. The first is a writing/improv phase in which the original script is modernized. The second phase is a workshop lab to formalize and hone the new script. The last phase, leading up to the performance, is the full staging and design implementation. All phases employ the full cast.

This is a synthesis of new play development, improv based writing, and literary analysis; all on a compressed timeline. While there is plenty of heavy lifting involved in birthing the script, the ultimate measure of success is an entertained audience. This is not a dry literary indulgence or pointless exercise.

We work with collaborators who take a special ownership in the process, and are responsible for seeing that the best show is made. Among those collaborators are artists who love dramaturgy, chewing on the structure of classics, and who have stories to tell.
